The upcoming Council of Administration meeting is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th at 9:00 AM. It will be held at the Carter-Smith VFW Post 5867, located at 12650 Lindo Lane, Lakeside, CA. We will start promptly at 9:00 AM, so please ensure you arrive on time.

 

For those interested, the Post will offer a burger or hot dog lunch—including beans, salad, and chips—from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for $10.00.

Later that evening, the POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony and Commander Paula Jensen's Homecoming will begin at 5:00 PM. The event is formal. It will take place at the San Diego Air & Space Museum (2001 Panamerican Plaza, San Diego, CA in Balboa Park) and will include dinner and music following the ceremony.

While it will be a full day, combining these events helps save everyone travel expenses. A block of rooms has been reserved for the VFW Auxiliary at the Handlery Hotel at a rate of $149 per night.
