| On Saturday April 13 2024 I and 4 other Auxiliary members came to my house and we spent the afternoon cutting out patriotic fabric pieces for a Patriotic Quilt that our auxiliary voted to make for auctioning at our biggest fund raiser of the year in May. I was very proud of my auxiliary members as several of them came with the attitude to help even though they knew nothing of how to cut out fabric or use a rotary cutter...yet they came anyway. Instead of cutting myself I spent the time instructing them and guiding them on measuring and how to use the cutter. Those that were uncomfortable with the cutter I walked them through the process on how to measure and mark the fabric and cut with sewing shears. It was a great time of bonding. |
