| On Thursday April 11 2024 our Post hosts what we call ""Veteran Giveaway Day."" On the 2nd Thursday of each month we open up our parking lot for veterans and their families and auxiliary members so they can drive through while we fill their trunks or back seats with fresh produce nonperishables breads pet food hygiene products frozen foods cases of beverages etc. VA Reps and representatives from our local Congressman Josh Harder's office come and assist them with claims answer any of their questions. All in all 6 aux. 8 Comrades 4 CERTS 6 Wide Horizons 2 Delta Humane 6 Bread of Life and approximately 6 volunteers come to help out with this event. It is a most rewarding event. |
