| Description |
| Our VFW Post electric bill through PG&E is very high and we feel it is due to our old refrigerator and freezer. Our Auxiliary voted on the floor to raise funds to purchase a refrigerator and then a freezer if we met our goals raising donations. We voted to do a Prime Rib Dinner on Saturday in April. We made the tickets and started advertising the dinner back in March. We had a business donor come in for one of our regular dinners and he gave us a check for $3000. That check was enough to pay for the refrigerator. We have planned on 60 people We ordered the meat and rest of the food with Gaylene baking the dessert. Before we even had the dinner we received another donation from another business for $2736.00 which help to purchase the freezer. The Auxiliary has since ordered the freezer and the refrigerator and should be here after April 16th. The tickets sales paid for the food for the dinner. Any extra funds will go towards some kitchen repairs before the appliances get installed. Our Auxiliary did an awesome job on raising funds to help our Post. |
