| On 10/3/23 was Riverside City National Night Out at Ysmael Villegas Park. Three Auxiliary members (Vivienne Bracamonte Vera Cooke and Yvonne De La Hoya) participated in this community event. A table was setup where children were invited to choose from 10 different pictures of USA Flags throughout the years (included Astronaut Neil Armstrong flag on the moon Betsy Ross Flag & US flag flown over Iwo Jima). There were pictures of flags for all ages to color at the table and/or take home. Boxes of crayons were also provided for each child and to take home. There was also a Treasurer Chest filled with small prizes/toys for the children to choose from and keep.
About 60 children participated in this event. |
