Description |
Two local artists and one guest judge judged YACPAC entries on April 2. Comments included – ""Artist skill in rendition is outstanding” ""beautiful piece” ""interesting conceptualization” and ""striking piece.” Auxiliary displayed the artwork on that day and the community was able to ""vote” for their favorite artwork. Folks were surprised that the entries were high school students. First place winner was a piece titled ""Standing the Watch”. The piece showed a soldier in full gear with his weapon and dog in an open field overlooking mountains. One judge liked the piece and what it conveyed to him. He wrote ""You prepare for peace during times of war” ""having weapons can be enough to keep the peace.” |
