| At our Regular Meeting on Wednesday January 17 2024 I presented an idea for our Auxiliary to make a Patriotic Quilt to Raffle off at our Annual Car Show in May. This would be a group project and not everyone needs to know how to sew. I presented the idea that we have different ""teams"" for each stage. A ""Design Team."" they would research and collaborate and have a few patterns for us to select ""THE"" Quilt that we want to represent us. A ""Shopping Team"" after pattern selection they would be the ones to go and select the fabrics for it. The ""Cut Team"" they would be the ones to gather and cut all the pieces out and label them. Then the ""Sewing Team"" They are our seamstresses ironers and thread trimmers. Then we have a friend Ranielle who has a Quilting business who is willing to donate her services to quilt it and label it. And then back to me to ""Bind"" it. The Auxiliary voted in favor of this project. On Monday January 22 2024 our ""Design Team"" met and chose 5 of her patterns to bring before the membership for a vote. The ""Tong"" pattern was selected. On Sunday March 10 2024 the ""Shopping Team"" met at Manteca's Joann's where after a couple of hours of camaraderie and discussion all the fabric was selected for our project. We have our ""Cutting Day"" & ""Sewing Day"" set on the calendar. |
