| On Saturday February 10 2024 was the day our District 13's Memorial Service and Department Inspection at Ripon 1051 & Manteca 6311. A few weeks previous of the meeting District 13 Commander Aaron Rassmussen and District 13 President Dept. Guard Leslie Alday had asked my husband and I to host some cards & board games after the Memorial Meeting and lunch. This is something we host at our Post every Friday afternoon whenever the Post is available. So we agreed and did as requested. We ran 3 different board Games: ""Roll For It"" ""Doomlings"" and ""Shifting Stones"" while other groups played Spades. It was wonderful to get to ""Hang Out"" with Past Dept. Pres. Mary Kruets Dist. 13 Pres. Dept. Guard Leslie Alday Department Pres. Diana Russell-Milton AND Dept. Commander Tim Bryant and Dist Commander Aaron and other attenders from other Posts just playing cards and laughing and allowing ourselves to just let go of worries...it was an honor to asked. |
