| In honor of Veterans Day I had the privilege of hanging out with my grandson's after school program to discuss Veterans Day & other Patriotic Holidays. I brought my husband a Veteran so that he could also share his military life. We discussed on how to honor respect our Flag. and what it stands for. I was surprised on all the questions these 1st thru 4th grade students had. We hope we can facilitate a flag retirement as they were so interested in the ceremony since we did have a Cub Scout present who shared his experience. We discussed all the branches of the Military and who wanted to join the Military.. We had 38 youth present with 4 Youth Leaders present. |
