| I cmbined my Jan. report with this meeting as I was sick and missed it but felt both were important to share .I announced that our Auxiliary will turn 110 this September and it is alos the 99th ear of VFW National Home.It is the VFW 's 125 birthday on September 29.Some members had reported their activity for National Salute to Veteran Patients which I mentioned as wellI selected a few priority goals .
They were the crackdown on Claim Sharks doing unaccredited claims wok and fleecing veterans
I went over a few bullet points form the Legislative Review . Importatn health care points and cuts to the IU program as well as improvements to the Appeals Improvemetn Act of 2017Also expanded benefits to the Blue Water Navy Viet Nam Act of 2017 and improved benefits for homeless vets including those fleeing domestic violence and additional bipartisan fundign for the mission of recovering MIA's. .
I went over teh VFW concern for Suicide Preventions sheet and the concern for transition assistance as wellI covered teh House hearing on Veteran Businesses testimony of assisting vets better for this service.
