| Our Auxiliary Hospital Chairman Pat Aria wanted to gather donations of clothing and put them in baskets then take them to Mather VA Hospital for veterans in the hospital. It was voted on our meeting floor in October that we would give thanks to veterans by having a ""Thanks"" Giving"" Day for hospitalized veterans. We voted to give $300 to the project and members were also to donate items by Veterans Day.. All donated items were to be dropped off on Veterans Day at VFW Post 4647. Then they would be sorted out and placed in baskets to be delivered before Thanksgiving. Members donated socks tee shirts sweatpants and new shoes. Our Chairman also purchased new shirts and other clothing items.
The items were placed in nice baskets and donated to Mather Hospital for veterans. |
