The Auxiliary Veterans and Family Support Program (VFS) provides unwavering support to our veterans and their families. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to honor serve and advocate for those who have sacrificed so much in service to our nation.
What sets the VFW Auxiliary Veterans and Family Support Program apart is its holistic approach to addressing the diverse needs of our veteran community. Whether it is assisting with VA benefits claims providing financial assistance during times of hardship offering mental health resources or facilitating family support networks our program is designed to be a beacon of hope and support for veterans and their loved ones.
Key highlights of the VFW Auxiliary Veterans and Family Support Program include:
1. VA Benefits Assistance: The VFS and Auxiliary are dedicated to guiding veterans through the often-complex process of accessing the benefits they've earned through their service.
2. Financial Aid: The VFS program understands the financial challenges that veterans and their families may face. That's why we offer financial assistance to help alleviate some of the burdens during difficult times.
3. Mental Health Resources: Mental health is a critical component of overall well-being. Through our program veterans have access to counseling services support groups and resources tailored to their unique needs.
4. Family Support Networks: We recognize the important role that families play in the lives of veterans. Our organization is a supportive community where families can connect share experiences and find solidarity.
5. Community Outreach: Auxiliaries are encouraged to build partnerships with local organizations and businesses to ensure that no veteran or family member feels alone in their journey.
6. Dog Tags 4 Life: At Dog Tags 4 Life their mission is to spread the word about the Veterans Crisis Line (Dial 988 then press 1) using dog tags containing the information.
