| Thursday January 11 2024 was the day of our Post's monthly ""Veteran Giveaway. "" my job as Secretary/Treasurer is to register/ sign- in Veterans &/or veteran family members for eligibility to receive the food baskets that we are giving out. A woman that I did not recognize came. She is newly widowed needing assistance. After a short conversation with her i determined that she is eligible to become an auxiliary member. I gave her an application encouraged her to visit our upcoming meeting to meet other members who also are widows and certainly share in the loss she is feeling. She gladly accepted the application. Am hopful for her attendance and acceptance as a member. |
