| Auxiliary 9223 members voted to donate twelve (12) holiday gift bags to the Veterans at Loma Linda VA Hospital.
On 12-8-2023 the Auxiliary members put together 12 gift bags which included snacks valued at $80.00 which included: crackers & cheese peanut butter crackers Sees Candy bars (no sugar) assorted chips candy canes and mints. The bags also included personal items valued at $510.00 that included: T-shirts scarfs Christmas cards tooth brush & paste back scratchers combs handmade Santa Claus PJs filled with candies & Buddy Poppies pens/pencils note pads Christmas ornaments body lotion playing cards puzzles handmade US Flag pins made from beads and assorted word game books.
On 12-10-2023 Auxiliary President Yvonne De La Hoya and member Vivienne Bracamonte delivered the packages to Loma Linda VA Hospital. Auxiliary 9223 participated with other members of District 3 and personally delivered the gift bags to the Veterans at the hospital in person. First time since Covid that the auxiliary members were allowed to visit and greet the veterans at the hospital. It was very rewarding. |
