| Post and Auxiliary 2075 hosts a Breakfast each month that is open to the public. For the December Breakfast we specially invited the families of our Adopt a Unit the Army Reserve 161st Armored Battalion to attend and have their children meet Santa and receive toys. I was staffing the Auxiliary's Bake Sale Table and noticed a young man with the Reserves. I struck up a conversation learned he had gotten out of the Reserves earlier this year and asked if he had served overseas. He stated he had not so I asked if his father or grandfather had served in a conflict and he stated his father had fought in the war. He was excited to hear he would be eligible for membership. I gave him a membership application and expect he will bring back his dad's DD214 in the next week. |
