Description
As VAVS representitive for VFWA. I requested $2000 to help Veterans for the Holidays and set up our annual Holiday Visit at Loma Linda VA. Loma Linda had a Giving Tree where Veterans that were in Housing through the VA could request up to $100 of something they needed for the Holidays. VFWA had 13 Veterans one with two kids. I went around picking up Bikes Microwaves Nike Shoes Movie tickes Air Fryer Leaf Blower and much more. Lot's of driving but it was worth it. We had our Visit on December 8th were we took the items unwrapped and delivered to Voulenteer Services. We also Visit every patient at the hospital if they didn't have a Stop on the door. We delivered gift cards and big Christmas stockings full of goodies. Everyone was impressed of what we did. If fact the Best part was I received a call from a Veteran that he was very gratefull for the Visit and the goodies. That's what it's about. Even though it's a big job it's way worth it!
