| Description |
| We started planning the Veteran Event on May 302023 and finished planning and preparing for event on June 142023. Multiple days various volunteers at different times. We had 8 Auxiliary members working during this time frame. We made flowers from printer paper as well as buddy poppies for the centers of the flowers. The post donated the Buddy Poppies to the auxiliary. We also had Leis that we added Buddy Poppies to. Each Lie had multiple poppies added and then 1 of the poppies had the tag left on. We had several businesses donate door prizes including an upright piano generator housewares keyless door locks board games food gifts cooking sets etc. Thank You's were sent out by an auxiliary member. We also had a large cake donated to the post. 3 reams worth of colored copy paper (donated by Aux member) was used to created decorations for the event. Twine was used to string flowers together. Multiple posters and colored (by hand) decorations were created by some of the 8 members involved in the event. The Event was going to be held to celebrate our 95th anniversary of serving veterans at our post. |
