| Description |
| Buddy Poppy Promotion. Two auxiliary members went to the Albertsons on Campo Road in Casa de Oro. We started at 8 am and finished at 2 pm. We set up a table with our VFW Commander and handed out buddy poppies and mini stockings with buddy poppies attached to them. We shared what we do with the donations (money) from the Buddy Poppy drive. We use money raised to help veterans who are in need. We also had membership applications with us and handed out two with people interested. We had more flyers that described the meaning behind the buddy poppy and talked to as many people as we could about its meaning. We stayed for 6 hours and travelled a total of 30 miles between the Two of us there with our Commander. Met quite a few veterans and family members. Handed out several flyers as well as approximately 50 - 55 buddy poppies 9 mini stockings 10 printed coloring books and 10 president rulers. Had a wonderful day. |
