| Description |
| As a District 17 Advisor I was asked to attend the Official Visit of Aux. 67 by our District President. The reason for my presence was to be a second ear for our District President as 2 of the District officers are from this Post home and the incident of the one being restrained from her Post home and The Auxiliary President were not being truthful with each other nor with our District President. A third member of this Auxiliary had call me prior to this meeting explaining how bad the Post has become in their treatment of the Auxiliary. During the Suggestions for the good of the order I suggested the possibility of my setting up something for the Auxiliary where I would have VFW presence from an upper level to help with the matter of what the 3rd member had called me about and the members thoughts that the drinking member was wrongfully put on restraint and they wanted to be heard. The were grateful that I would help to make this happen.
In retrospect All of the advice given to the drinking member was not taken seriously as I heard that this member got loud and spewed everything after the POW/MIA event at another Post home. I advised District President to ask the 2 District Officers to stop calling her with twisted stories. I do not believe these two should move on. Unfortunately not always what is advised is taken to better the situation. One can only try. |
