| Description |
| One of our Auxiliary Members Patty Park is also very involved with the Delta Humane Society. Throughout the year we have given the Humane Society money towards dog food and in turn the Society contributes to our monthly giveaway to our veterans. With the help of myself and two other auxiliary members plus several of the Delta Humane Society staff and board members they held their 2nd Annual Soup Cook Off and Raffle held at the Manteca Senior Centre. Two of our auxiliary members plus 12 other contestants made pots of soup that were judges by a panel of 5 judges consisting of 4 chefs from 3 of our finest restaurants in our area and a Representative from Congressman Josh Harder's office. There were 50 Raffle baskets/items including a 4-night 5-day cruise! Other sponsors were Applebee's Mountain Mikes Pizza Wal-Mart the Commons Cojirs Senior Living Manteca Senior Centre Home Depot Mayor Gary Singh K-Joy radio and others. The Auxiliary donated $100 towards Gift Cards to be used in a Raffle basket. Amongst the Raffle baskets 4 of our members contributed baskets to raffle off. This is their annual fundraiser. |
