VFW Post 3788 and its Auxiliary participated in a POW MIA ceremony on Fri. 9/15 to include dinner retired military members their families and other dignitaries.
Some of the Auxiliary members read and discussed the various flower colors (red/white/blue evergreen etc.) to the audience and I was 1 of the ceremony leaders for the event along with the Post Commander R. Vannoy. The ceremony was about 1 hour in length but with the dinner and everyone in attendance it was about 3 hours overall.
The attire for everyone was black/white so all attendees from 3788 were dressed for the occasion.
There were about 10 Auxiliary members attending and participating in the dinner and memorial service combined. |
