Description
Post 2075 and its Auxiliary join with the American Legion Post 314 and its Auxiliary each year to put on a public Memorial Day Observance ceremony at the Hawthorne Memorial Center. The VFW and American Legion groups alternate each year between hosting the event and hosting a luncheon afterwards for the public -- this year we helped the Post host the lunch. The Auxiliary President posted a memorial wreath during the ceremony which includes remarks by Congresswoman Maxine Waters. State Senator Steve Bradford Mayor Alex Vargas City Council members and others. The Auxiliary paid for some of the food ($237.80) and Auxiliary members also helped clean up the Post afterwards.
