| Support letter for S.344 a bipartisan legislation that would authorize concurrent receipt of DOD retired pay and VA disability compensation for those injured in a combat zone and medically retired under Chapter 62 of title 10 United States Code. This is for adoption of Amendment 142-provision from the Major Richard Star Act so it can be included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This benefit would eliminate this unjust offset of disability compensation for combat-injured military retirees. |
