Description
Our Post hosts its annual fundraiser of a Car Show in May and asks the Auxiliary to run the Bugle Boy Cafe. Unfortunately May 13th was the same day as our District's Memorial Service occupying 5 of our prominent Officers including our Pres. Past Pres. Kitty Walker Chaplain Conductress Secretary and our Post's Commander. With that said Aux. Member Carol Sommerfeld stepped up and chaired the event of running the Bugle Boy and Raffle with the help of Co-Chairman Patty Park Sr Vice Carla Hiatt and Aux. Members: Julia Owens Nancy Jones Vickie Kelley and 2 regular volunteers: Lora Clary and Olga Nervis. One month prior the committee began their preparation and planning. They served: Breakfast burritos hamburgers hot dogs ""Lochford Sausages"" French Fries and sauerkraut including condiments. They also managed to get the word out and had over 50 well thought out baskets for raffle. The raffle earned over $2100.oo and the Bugle Boy earned $4156.00. The day began at 6:00am and the event was over and cleaned up by 3:00pm.
