| The Vice Mayor of Concord called and asked if the Post/Aux would participate in the City’s upcoming Juneteenth event. Auxiliary member prepared posters sharing information about African American accomplishments in military history (6 hours). Tuskegee airmen Harlem Hellfighters Port Chicago 50 and Buffalo Soldiers. The posters were displayed at a booth hosted by Post and 2 Auxiliary members (3 hours each at event). Many attendees stopped by to talk and share that they had family members who were involved with these groups. We also got one Auxiliary sign up. Actual date of activity June 25 |
