Description
Attended a senior luncheon at the Lakeside Christian Church with two other Auxiliary members. A table was set up with a display board about the Buddy Poppy. Poppy flowers were made available for donations. A presentation was given about the Buddy Poppy including an explanation about the meaning of the different colors of poppies. $120 was collected in donations. The 13 fold of the American Flag was demonstrated and read. About 50 people were present for this luncheon and presentation. Brochures about the history of the Buddy Poppy and Poppy glass beads were distributed.
