| On Monday May 29 2023 our Post Commander Honor guard and Auxiliary were asked by ""Friends of East Union Cemetery"" to aid in their Memorial Day Service. This was a stunning and serene ceremony at the cemetery with speeches from Commander Tom Berry Mayor Gary Singh 2 Star Major General Eldon Pagua. Comrade Ron Cruse read the names of Manteca Soldiers from WWI to present while Past Auxiliary President Kitty Walker rang the bell after each name . Our Honor Guard gave a gun salute and Aux & Honor Guard Member Tommie Benavides blew Taps Aux. Pres. LuAnn Hood Incoming Jr. Vice Julia Owens and myselfserved Starbucks coffee (which was donated) and Safe Mart cookies. |
