| Along with a service officer from the local Veterans Service Office I spent over 4 months planning the North County Veterans Resource Fair on April 22 with the hope to offer the largest gathering of organizations offering services and benefits to veterans in the North County ever. I handled securing the centralized location in the North County necessary city and county health permits designing print and online graphics creating Facebook posts and ads making guest appearance to promote attendance and participation writing and distributing press releases and various event planner duties. Our efforts resulted in 29 different organizations gathered in one place for more than 200 veterans and their families to connect with. Previous resource fairs by other organizations in the North County only had less than a dozen exhibitors at any given time. |
