| #266 At our Sunday Post Steak Diner on June 26th we promoted the Buddy Poppy program through the sale for donation of our Buddy Poppy leis and bracelets. Our display board was set up at the dinner sales table 'sporting the numerous designs of RW&B beaded Buddy Poppy jewelry. One member works the display. A second member strolls among the dinner tables and guests inside and outside of the Post Hall handing out single Buddy Poppies while 'modeling' the jewelry and promoting sales for donation. Guests often donate just because they have a special veteran to remember and simply love the meaning of the Buddy Poppy. Silverware and napkins are tied with Buddy Poppies to continue the theme. Dinner servers also 'model' the leis to help promote and show off the many different designs of our jewelry. June 26th efforts netted $21. The Post always has vases of Buddy Poppy next to donation cans at te welcome desk and on the bar. |
